Goldmound Spiraea

Description:
The Spirea 'Goldmound', Spiraea x 'Goldmound', this colorful plant provides an exceptional accent or contrast in your foundation planting or shrub border. Brilliant foliage holds its light chartreuse-green color all season long. Flushes of pink flowers appear in June and July. Dense bushy 18 to 24 inch plants maintain their nicely rounded, neat appearance with little or no pruning. Distinguished by their size, bloom color and season of bloom, spireas all have small leaves and fine, twiggy branches. Once established, they are drought tolerant.

Yellow Twig Dogwood

Description:
The Dogwood 'Yellow Twig', Cornus sericea 'Yellow Twig', is a medium sized shrub with bright yellow twigs. These yellow twigs provide a good contrast against any Red-twig with its yellow fall color. The foliage is medium to dark green in summer, followed by purplish fall color. The twigs are green in summer, but turn bright clear yellow in fall and are quite conspicuous in winter, especially if planted in groups with one of the red twigged dogwoods. Plant in full sun and provide a well watered location.

Late Panicle Hydrangea

Description:
The Hydrangea 'Late Panicle', Hydrangea paniculata 'Tardiva', This shrub has white airy flowers that can reach 10-12" in length in late August. The flowers are a mixture of sterile and fertile flowers which gives the flowers less density and less likelihood to tip or droop. Flowers will turn bronze in fall. Prune every year in the fall after blooming, no more than 1/3 of the plant. These plants look best when they are kept pruned to keep them thick at the base. They are hardy and will not need to be covered to flower.
